Alam nasyraḥ laka ṣadrak(a).
HAVE WE NOT opened up thy heart,
Wa waḍa‘nā ‘anka wizrak(a).
and lifted from thee the burden
Allażī anqaḍa ẓahrak(a).
that had weighed so heavily on thy back?
Wa rafa‘nā laka żikrak(a).
And [have We not] raised thee high in dignity?
Fa'inna ma‘al-‘usri yusrā(n).
And, behold, with every hardship comes ease:
Inna ma‘al-‘usri yusrā(n).
verily, with every hardship comes ease!
Fa iżā faragta fanṣab.
Hence, when thou art freed [from distress], remain steadfast,
Wa ilā rabbika fargab.
and unto thy Sustainer turn with love.
